Start The Renovations Early - Rent To Own
When we sign on agreement with an individual or family we refer to the people moving in as “tenant-buyers”.
This clearly explains how the Rent To Own agreement works. First you are a tenant and you rent during the option term. Then, during the term or at the end you buy the home from us and therefore you are now the buyers.
Once the agreement is signed before you move in you already know you will be purchasing the home. As a result of this, if you are a contractor or just handy with renovations, you can start making your house the way you want it before you actually own it.
These renovations will actually increase the value of your home so when you move in, it will be worth even more.
Some common renovations that tenant-buyers do during the rent to own term are decks and patios, general landscaping, updated washrooms, painting, kitchens, or even finishing entire basements.
